[more] The Code of Ethics – and What the Code Means for Bulgarian Media Outlets During the second half of October the Project will carry out a concentrated, country-wide publicity and information programme, assisting Bulgarian media outlets to familiarise themselves with the Code of Ethics and its administration through the Council of Ethics and the Complaints Commissions. [more] Professional Training for Journalists from Ethnic Minorities The BBC PHARE Media Support Project is organising a number of tailor-made journalism skills training events for ethnic minority journalists. [more] Council for Journalistic Ethics Officially Registered The Bulgarian “National Council for Journalistic Ethics” has been officially registered as a not-for-profit foundation. This is a vital step on the road to media self-regulation for the Bulgarian media, since this Council will establish the two Complaints Commissions. [more] Network Association of Bulgarian Journalism Faculties to Be Established Representatives from nine Bulgarian Journalism Faculties held a two-day conference in Sofia on September 15 and 16, 2005 to discuss and plan the creation of an “Association of Educators in Journalism and Mass Communication in Bulgaria”.
