OBJECTIVES

Project Aims

  • To develop a system of voluntary self-regulation in the media sector through issuing a Code of Practice and establishing a Complaints Commission.

  • To initiate reform of media human resource management policies in accord with the Code of Practice.

  • To deliver a professional training programme to at least 300 mid-career journalists of whom at least 70 are of minority origin.

  • To modernise journalism teaching at Sofia University; to create an information and exchange network between at least three faculties of journalism in Bulgaria.
