NEWS Delhi: Training the Trainers Any training course needs trainers – and the two-year Focus on the Environment project is no exception. So the first event of the programme was a two-week course aimed at equipping twelve new trainers. Unusually, they came from very different backgrounds – scientists and researchers from the environmental NGO TERI and reporters from newspapers in Delhi and Mumbai. They learnt about modern, interactive and engaging training techniques and each had two opportunities to put their learning into practice by delivering a training session to their colleagues. The new trainers will work alongside international trainers throughout the project. Date: 31/03/05
