A state-of-the-art digital editing suite has been installed at TERI’s headquarters in Delhi with a view to assisting with the production of environmental documentaries both during and after the project.

Using Avid editing technology and sophisticated hardware, TERI’s core team will be able to complete the production process initiated by project participants in the target states. They will ensure that the documentary films developed in training conditions are of broadcast quality and will also produce versions for further dissemination to schools and colleges.

In March 2005 the BBC World Service Trust delivered a three-week training course for four picture editors at TERI, thereby building internal capacity to provide comprehensive editing services post-project. The production facility will be offered to journalists working on environmental projects in the long-term.
