iLearn Authors

English-language iLearn courses are written and developed by journalists with a wide experience of professional practise and of training media professionals overseas. Many of them come from the ranks of the BBC and its main partner in iLearn, the Guardian newspaper.

The English courses form the basis for implementations of iLearn in other languages. Partner organisations translate and reversion the content, making it locally relevant and culturally sensitive.

Courses are then implemented by local mentors who have been trained in BBC training methodologies. These online trainers are also commissioned to write their own courses in the local language, which then become available to the worldwide iLearn community.
